چکیده
Dolichos bean (Lablab purpureus L.) is a multipurpose, orphan leguminous crop in Kenya .It characterized with narrow genetic diversity and low yield output. Use of nuclear techniques such as gamma ray induction breeding for improved variability an effective approach improvement this important crop. Studies on estimates two Kenyan dolichos accessions were undertaken the pre-requisites selection potential high yielding putative production. This study was conducted between May 2020 October at biotechnology department, University Eldoret research field, Kenya. 0gy, 300gy 400gy mutant Eldo maridadi black I respectively raised Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) three replications. Data collected either plot basis or from randomly taken 3 plants days to 50% flowering, leaf length, number flower buds per race , raceme length (cm) plant height (cm), nodes pod 100 seed weight (g), dry (g). The data each quantitative trait subjected analysis variance (ANOVA) simple lattice design. There PCV GCV coupled heritability in, raceme, (g) accession traits than .The different following mutation did exhibit difference trend estimates. An indication genotypic differences, response mutation, lesser influence environment expression traits, prevalence additive gene action their inheritance amenability selection. exhibited advance percent mean evaluated thus direct may not beneficial. Other further improvements potentiality genotype are suggested by creating variation

Seasonal Influence on Yield and Yield Contributing Characters of Lablab Bean [Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet]
A study was conducted to evaluate the seasonal influence on yield and yield contributing characters of four lablab bean genotypes: IPSA Seam-1, IPSA Seam-2, BU Seam-3 and JER during September 2000 to December 2001 covering one main season (winter) and two off-seasons (early summer and late summer). Compared to off-seasons, all the genotypes performed better for all the parameters during winter....
